Pregant women account for 1 out of 8 fatalities due to HIN1 virus worldwide.

cdc recommendations

Health care workers who interact with patients suspected or confirmed to be infected with novel H1N1 influenza A — commonly known as swine flu — should wear fitted N95 respirators, which filter better than looser medical masks, to help guard against respiratory infection. Use of the N95 respirators are only one element of H1N1 infection control strategies. Handwashing is very important also. Neither the World Health Organization nor the Centers for Disease Control have called for mandatory H1N1 vaccination of healthcare workers. High risk individuals to contract severe disease due to H1N1 (pregnant women, healthcare workers and people 24 years or younger) should strongly consider receiving the H1N1 vaccine.
